John Ferretti Defeats Joseph Scianablo in Hempstead Supervisor Race
Ten supervisor seats were up for grabs across LI, along with council positions and a mayoral post.
Hempstead Supervisor John Ferretti, with almost 82% of election precincts counted, held a lead over Joseph Scianablo and declared victory.

- In Oyster Bay, Supervisor Joseph Saladino was reelected.
Nassau Republicans retained all three supervisor seats in the county.
