Rocket Launch from Cape Canaveral Visible Across Florida

A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket was scheduled to take off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Wednesday, November 5, during a 44-minute launch window beginning at 10:24 p.m. The attempt was later scrubbed before 11 p.m., with a new date and time to be announced.

According to the visibility map provided by ULA, the rocket’s trajectory and flight path could make it visible across much of Florida, depending on weather and cloud coverage. Observers as far away as Jacksonville, Cape Coral, and Miami could have a chance to see the spacecraft streak across the night sky after liftoff.

“Visibility from most of Florida is possible,” said ULA representatives.

The mission, known as the ViaSat-3 Flight 2 (F2), will launch an ultra-high-capacity broadband satellite for Viasat. This spacecraft is designed to significantly expand the existing Viasat satellite network’s data capabilities. The Atlas V, equipped with five solid rocket boosters, is expected to deliver a spectacular visual display for onlookers when it finally launches.
