Bruins Hold On In Overtime Against Ottawa For Fifth Straight Win

Bruins Secure Fifth Straight Win in Overtime Against Ottawa Senators

BOSTON — Just 10 days after a tough 7-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators, the Boston Bruins faced them again on Thursday at TD Garden. This time, the Bruins demonstrated a marked improvement, defeating the Senators 3-2 in overtime, marking their fifth consecutive victory.

Pavel Zacha, who scored the game-winning goal with only 5.6 seconds left in overtime, reflected on the motivation behind the win:

“It was big motivation for us. We lost a game there and lost pretty badly. Before the game, we were motivated to give it back, and I’m happy that we won.”

The winning goal came after Charlie McAvoy controlled the puck in the attacking zone and took a shot that Zacha redirected into the net, earning his fourth goal of the season.

Boston held a 2-1 lead with less than 10 minutes remaining in the third period before the game was pushed to overtime.
