The Ottawa Senators face the Boston Bruins in a rematch following a 7–2 victory by the Senators last week. After a rare four-day break in a condensed schedule, the Senators used recent practices to refine their strategies ahead of the game in Boston.
This week’s sessions included special involvement from the players’ fathers, attending meetings and practices during the “Dad’s trip.” This added presence is expected to encourage players to stay accountable and closely follow the coaching plan.
“We want a sixty-minute mindset,” said Travis Green, speaking to the media. “Complete buy-in from every player and full-game cohesiveness to execute our systems and strategies.”
Green emphasized the team’s focus on improving their penalty kill, which has been a key part of recent practice. He also noted drills on 5-on-5 play and passing. When questioned about a supposed November curse, Green dismissed concerns, stating his priority is preparing the team for the next match.
Both teams enter the game motivated to execute their game plans effectively.
Ottawa Senators prepare strategically and mentally to face the Bruins, focusing on a full-game effort and penalty kill improvements after a mixed recent performance.
