Jennifer Lawrence, the Academy Award-winning actress famous for "The Hunger Games" and "Silver Linings Playbook," revealed unusual supernatural encounters she faced while filming in New Orleans and Charlotte, North Carolina. On the "Las Culturistas" podcast with Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, Lawrence described the hauntings as "really bad."
During the 2022 shoot of "Causeway," Lawrence moved between multiple accommodations before settling in a hotel in New Orleans. One day, while in bed, she heard a housekeeper enter her room. As she emerged from under the covers, the housekeeper apologized for waking her and quietly left.
"It wasn't until I got out of bed later that I realized my door was deadbolted, making it impossible for anyone to enter."
Lawrence admitted she might have been half-asleep during the event but stood by her story, commenting,
"I don't know, I just come from a world where we believe women."
Lawrence also described another ghostly experience while staying in a local house during filming. She was alone watching TV when the kitchen doors began slamming open and shut repeatedly without explanation.
