Prince Harry has faced claims of imitating his elder brother, Prince William, after being photographed striking an almost identical pose during his visit to Canada.
Earlier this week, the Prince of Wales, 43, appeared stylish in sunglasses while standing confidently at the helm of a boat during a scenic tour of Brazil’s Guanabara Bay. Only hours later, the Duke of Sussex, 41, was also seen on a boat, joining soldiers from two historic Army Reserve units in Canada.
Prince Harry denied any attempt to overshadow his brother’s high-profile trip connected to the Earthshot Prize awards in Brazil. William’s visit had been announced first, as the environmental event is regarded as one of his signature royal projects.
"William went on a boat ride… I need to go on a boat ride,"
remarked one royal fan, drawing attention to the similarity in both brothers’ photographs.
A royal expert described the timing clash as “predictable,” while Harry’s spokesperson dismissed suggestions that the Duke’s public engagement was motivated by sibling rivalry. Nevertheless, observers noted the unmistakable resemblance between their boat photos—each holding the railing and gazing reflectively into the distance.
Both princes appeared in nearly identical boating photos during separate tours, fueling public debate about rivalry and coincidence within the royal family.
