Megyn Kelly delivered a sharp critique of the Republican Party following their significant losses on Election Day. Speaking on “The Megyn Kelly Show” Wednesday afternoon, she accused fellow conservatives of lacking the ability to win without Donald Trump's leadership.
The recent elections saw major Democratic victories in California, New Jersey, Virginia, and New York City. Kelly expressed frustration over the party’s priorities in the weeks leading up to the election.
“The Republican party needs to get its s–t together ASAP.”
She sarcastically remarked on the Republicans' focus on policing group chats and podcast comments instead of addressing more substantial issues:
“I’m really glad we spent the past couple of weeks, as Sean Davis of the Federalist put it, policing some young person’s group chat. What a podcast host said and what the head of a think tank over at Heritage had to say. I’m really glad that the Republicans devoted so much time to that. That was a great move.”
Kelly accused the party of being complacent in defeat, emphasizing their tendency to embrace a losing stance:
“The Republicans like to lose. They enjoy when they are embattled and in a losing position and complaining. They do it really well.”
She highlighted the party’s reliance on former President Trump’s strength, suggesting they struggle to compete without him:
“Republicans don’t know how to win. They don’t know who to run. They don’t know what to do when daddy’s not there to fly them across the finish line. And that’s just been so obvious.”
According to Kelly, the party lacks its own strong leadership and direction, with Trump being the only figure showing strength within their ranks.
Megyn Kelly sharply criticizes the Republican Party’s inability to win independently, blaming their dependence on Donald Trump’s leadership and misplaced priorities.
