A protest by the far-Right Islamist party Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) turned violent in Lahore, resulting in the deaths of at least one police officer and three protesters.
The clashes occurred during the TLP's march from Lahore to Islamabad, approximately 400 km away, along the Grand Trunk Road, as they protested against Israel over the war on Gaza.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif called the TLP protest 'an insult to religion'.
