Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SSO) reported on November 7 that their long-range drones targeted an oil depot and logistics facilities in Crimea, currently occupied by Russian forces.
The strike hit an oil depot near Hvardiiske village, about 20 kilometers north of Simferopol. A full RVS-400 tank, used for storing oil and petroleum products, was destroyed, according to the SSO.
"Special Operations Forces continue to act asymmetrically in countering the enemy's military capabilities."
The SSO also claimed to have targeted several oil depots and fuel storage facilities in and around Simferopol, along with two trains carrying tank wagons loaded with petroleum products at a loading site.
The Russian occupational administration in Crimea has yet to respond to these claims. The Kyiv Independent has not independently verified the reported attacks.
During a briefing in Kyiv with reporters, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the mass production of one of the war's most commonly used drones, the DJI Mavic.
