Stay at Doris's House from Gavin & Stacey from £18 a Night

The famous neighbour from the BBC One hit sitcom Gavin & Stacey lived next door to Gwen, and now you can actually rent the house for a holiday!

Iconic Barry Location

Fans of Gavin & Stacey can now stay in one of the Barry houses made famous by the show, which concluded last Christmas. Trinity Street in Barry, overlooking the Island, was home to Gwen and Stacey, Uncle Bryn, and their sassy neighbour Doris, played memorably by Margaret John.

When the series returned in 2019, Doris’s house became Gavin and Stacey’s home after her character’s death. Gwen’s house has long been a favourite fan stop, but now the neighbouring house is available for holidaymakers wanting to experience life in the show's world firsthand.

Lush House: A Fan-Owned Holiday Rental

Named Lush House, the red-brick terrace on the hill is owned by devoted fans Lisa and Chris Molloy. They were the first to view and buy the property when it went on the market, having been huge fans since the sitcom’s 2008 debut.

Available through Sykes Cottages, Lush House can be booked as early as next week, with prices starting at £472 for a two-night stay. The house accommodates five guests across two bedrooms — one double and one with a three-person bunk.

"Lush House is the perfect spot for fans eager to immerse themselves in the Gavin & Stacey world."

Author's summary: Fans can now rent a classic Gavin & Stacey house in Barry, owned by superfans, offering a unique holiday experience starting from £472 for two nights.
