Big Brother fans have condemned the backdoor eviction on the 2025 ITV reality show as the "worst" they have ever witnessed after Sam from Skipton was eliminated. Sam and Nancy were nominated earlier in the week by their fellow housemates.
Viewers had only 15 minutes on Tuesday night (November 4) to save their preferred contestant before one left abruptly following a fireworks party. However, the eviction result was only revealed during Wednesday’s episode.
The latest episode, which also featured Teja’s birthday, showed housemates including Richard, Jenny, and Caroline gathered in the garden for a firework display with a surprise twist.
Big Brother announced: “Housemates, it’s nearly time for Big Brother’s firework display. But, before we light the fuse, Big Brother has some news. Tonight is not just fireworks night, it’s also eviction night.”
Sam and Nancy were then summoned to the snug to receive their eviction outfits—red rockets for Sam and blue rockets for Nancy.
Big Brother explained: “Sam and Nancy, tonight one of you is about to go out with a bang.”
This eviction sparked controversy among viewers, who criticized the rushed voting and suspenseful reveal as the most unsatisfactory backdoor eviction in the show's history.
