The Odyssey’s Elliot Page is glad to have the opportunity to work with Christopher Nolan again now that he’s his true self

The Odyssey’s Elliot Page on Reuniting with Christopher Nolan

Elliot Page describes Chris Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey as an epic and extraordinary project. Having previously worked with Nolan on the 2010 film Inception, Page feels this reunion is even more meaningful now that he is living as his true self.

Working with Nolan Twice

Page first collaborated with Nolan when playing female roles before coming out as a trans man in 2020. The opportunity to work together again brings new depth to the experience. Speaking at New York Comic Con, Page shared:

“I was so excited to be thought of for it and to be asked to come back to work with him. I loved working with him on Inception and loved being a part of that movie. I was just completely jazzed and excited. I basically went and met with Chris and talked about the part and then sat in a room and read the script, and you know, it was of course a big 'Yes.'”

Feeling More Comfortable and Joyful

Page emphasized the difference in returning to a Nolan project feeling more comfortable in himself, which has enhanced the joy of the work:

“Sadly, I can’t say much. But it was such a joy to come back, and to come back now, as you can imagine, being more comfortable in yourself makes these sorts of projects more enjoyable, just waking up every day and going to work. To kind of get to have a more Chris Nolan experience again now, that actually really meant so much to me.”

He also mentioned traveling to exciting locations during the shoot:

“I got to go to some pretty awesome places. It’s going to be extraordinary.”

Release Date

The Odyssey is scheduled for release in theaters on July 17, 2026.
