Truett Seminary has formed an alliance with a conservative branch of Mainline Protestantism by creating an Anglican Episcopal House of Studies.
The new house within the Baptist seminary was announced on October 13, following the establishment of a Wesleyan House of Studies four years prior, which is aligned with the Global Methodist Church, a more conservative breakaway from The United Methodist Church.
The program will be led by an individual from the Anglican Church in North America, a more conservative side of American Anglicanism, despite being labeled as Anglican and Episcopal, which is a branch of the larger Anglican communion.
