Madera High School's Memorial Stadium Set for Renovation

Madera High's band is practicing on the field at Memorial Stadium for the last few days.

"It's pretty exciting. We are pretty much taking the stadium down to the ground,"

said MUSD Deputy Superintendent Sandon Schwartz. The school board approved a $32 million bid for demolition and construction in September.

The renovation will include new locker rooms, restrooms, concession stands, field and track, and a new scoreboard. It will also address ongoing issues such as crumbling stairways and outdated seating.
