Turns out I’ve been looking for the next The Last Dance in all the wrong places.
The search for a documentary comparable to "The Last Dance" led to disappointment with the Lionel Messi World Cup documentary on Apple, which made an exciting final seem dull. Similarly, a documentary about Beckham, although aided by engaging interviews, fell short as a character study.
