Seven Locals Qualify for OFSAA Tennis Championship
Seven local players have qualified for the OFSAA tennis championship in November.
They secured their spots by finishing in the top two at the SWOSSAA championship, held on Wednesday in Chatham at the Joe Carpenter and Doug Allin courts and the Chatham-Kent Racquet Centre.
- McGregor's Claudia Del Corral placed second in high school girls singles.
- Chatham-Kent's Hannah Heinhuis and Hayden Heinhuis were second in high school girls doubles.
- Pain Court's Carter May and Will Deline finished second in high school boys doubles.
- Pain Court's Kaylene Brophy and Parker Graham placed second in high school mixed doubles.
The team title was won by Windsor Riverside with 16 points, followed by LaSalle Villanova with 13 points, Lambton Central with 11 points, and Pain Court with 10 points.
Pain Court had the most SWOSSAA players with 10, more than any other school.
