Badgers Defeat Tigers to Earn Split and Share of CVC Title
The Berkshire Badgers Volleyball Team traveled to Chagrin Falls on Oct. 7 for a regular season contest with CVC Chagrin Division Title implications.
After losing to the Tigers on Oct. 18 at Berkshire High School, which broke their 8-game winning streak, the Badgers went 9-1. With a 17-2 season record and a top twenty ranking in the Ohio Volleyball Coaches Association Division V Poll, they sought to split the season series.
On Oct. 7, the Badgers earned a season split and a share of the CVC Chagrin Division Title, defeating the Tigers 3-1. After losing the first set 23-25, they won three straight sets (25-21, 25-13, 25-22).
- Jill Smetana had 15 kills.
- Kate Miller had 11 kills and led defensively with 15 digs and 20 serve receptions.
- Marissa Rish had 10 kills.
The Badgers achieved a share of the title.
