Conservatives argue that the cancellation of the contract may make Canada appear as an unreliable ally to Ukraine and undermine commitments to strengthening the domestic defence industry.
The federal government has refused to disclose the reason behind the cancellation of a contract for refurbished military vehicles for Ukraine with Armatec Survivability, a Canadian company.

Armatec Survivability stated that they are still "ready, willing and able to supply" the refurbished vehicles.
