The Bahamas Department of Meteorology (BDM) is monitoring Tropical Storm Melissa in the north-central Caribbean, warning of potential strengthening into a major hurricane.
As of October 24, 2025, Tropical Storm Melissa was nearly stationary, with maximum sustained winds near 45 mph and higher gusts, and is forecast to gradually strengthen.
