Justice Cummings Edwards to Proceed on Pre-Retirement Leave
President Dr. Irfaan Ali announced that he has accepted Justice Yonette Cummings-Edwards' request to proceed on pre-retirement leave, followed by early retirement.
The President made the announcement in a video message to the nation, stating that Justice Cummings-Edwards' leave will take effect from Monday, October 27.
"After due consideration, I acceded to this request,"
President Ali expressed gratitude to the outgoing Chancellor for her years of dedicated service to the judiciary and to the people of Guyana.
