The Renters Rights Bill has been given Royal Assent and is now an Act, known as the Renters Rights Act.
According to the National Residential Landlords Association, it is now up to the government to prove that the Act works for both renters and landlords.
“After years of debate and uncertainty, today marks an important milestone for the private rented sector. With the Renters’ Rights Act on the statute book, the sector needs certainty about the way forward.” - Ben Beadle, Chief Executive
The NRLA emphasizes that this is the most significant change to the rental market in almost 40 years and that it is crucial for the new systems to work for both tenants and responsible landlords.
The NRLA is ready to work with the government to ensure the reforms are implemented fairly and effectively.
