Acclaimed production and VFX studio The Mill is relaunching under new ownership after abruptly shutting down earlier this year.
Global language and AI services company TransPerfect has acquired The Mill’s French division and is reopening studios in London, Seoul, and Bangalore, with plans to rebuild a presence in the U.S.
- London studio opens with 15 staff led by managing director Liam Collinwood
- Paris studio continues to operate with 150 employees under managing director Fabien Godenèche
- Seoul studio launches with five staff headed by Jonghyun Hong
- Bangalore studio houses 450 employees focused primarily on gaming
We absolutely want to grow in the U.S.
The move follows the collapse of former owner Technicolor Group in February.
