Remembrance Day Parade Returns November 11

A parade and ceremony will be held on Remembrance Day, Tuesday, November 11th, to honor fallen Canadian soldiers and recognize the dedication of living veterans and active service members.

The city’s traditional Remembrance Day parade and ceremony starts at 10:40 a.m. Organized by the local Royal Canadian Legion branch, the parade will begin outside the School District 60 office on 102nd Street.

The City of Fort St. John lists attractions including horse races, a turkey shoot, and dinner. The event is free, and no pre-registration is necessary.

“Road closures will be in effect along the parade route and near the legion building from 9:30 a.m. to noon on the 11th, with no vehicle access whatsoever,” stated the city’s press release.
