‘This is the Turning Point Tour’ Stops in Auburn

Neville Arena at Auburn University was filled with students and locals attending the "This is the Turning Point Tour" hosted by Turning Point USA. The event highlighted several prominent conservative figures, including Eric Trump, Lara Trump, Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville, and political commentator Benny Johnson.

“This is MAGA country,” said Benny Johnson as he opened his speech.

Senator Tuberville took a moment to honor the late Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA.

“Charlie’s here with us; he’s here with us in spirit,” Tuberville said.

The event featured a live phone call from President Donald Trump, made by his son Eric Trump during the tour stop.

“Our great Charlie, he was the first in line,” President Trump said over the phone. “Always the first in line to help.”

On stage, Eric and Lara Trump shared that the viral “Trump 28” hat was meant as a humorous prank aimed at the media. They clarified that President Trump never planned to seek a third term.

“After about 12 hours of them melting down, she said, ‘We have to keep it going,’” Eric Trump explained. “She came up with a slogan — ‘Trump 2028, rewrite the rules.’ It’s easier to troll the media in this country than to fool my 6-year-old.”

Lara Trump added that President Trump’s leadership has a clear purpose and that he is serving for a reason.
