Claressa Shields has called out Jake Paul for his selective outrage regarding the cancellation of the Gervonta "Tank" Davis boxing exhibition. The event, scheduled for November 14th on Netflix, was canceled after new allegations surfaced accusing Davis of domestic violence.
Court documents reveal that an ex-girlfriend accused Davis of choking her at a Miami strip club on October 27th, among other incidents.
Jake Paul called Davis "an actual walking human piece of garbage" in his statement on X.
"One: I will say this, I'm not going to say I 100 percent agree with what Jake said, but what I will say is that we all knew Tank's background with domestic violence before his fight got made."
"Before any of his fights get made, we already know he's got some issues with this. This is not his first, second, or even third time with something like this coming out."
Shields suggests that Paul should not act surprised given Davis’ history.
Claressa Shields criticizes Jake Paul for appearing shocked about the Gervonta Davis allegations, emphasizing that Davis’ history of domestic violence has long been known in the boxing community.
