Thousands of players have been unable to log into EA Sports FC 26 early Friday morning. The developers have now explained the cause of the outage.
Just hours before the launch of the highly anticipated UEFA Primetime promo, the servers for EA Sports FC 26 completely went offline. This has left players unable to access Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs, and other online modes.
According to Down Detector, reports of connection issues began at 6:17 AM GMT on Friday, November 7, and surged sharply after 9 AM GMT. Gamers expressed their frustration on social media.
Bonfire5th on X: "EA servers are down today on FC26! That ruins the stream for this morning so going to do it in the afternoon instead!"
Another player: "I was just playing a Division 1 game and it's gone down on me. Frustrating."
The disruption is not due to a technical error or system failure. Instead, EA Sports took the servers offline to perform necessary maintenance.
In an official statement on X, EA Sports FC Direct Communication confirmed:
"We have a maintenance coming up. During this time, you will be disconnected or unable to access online services. Match creation will be disabled 30 minutes before maintenance. Titles impacted: EA Sports FC 26, EA Sports FC 25 and EA Sports FC 24 on all platforms."
The EA FC 26 servers are currently offline for scheduled maintenance affecting multiple titles, with disruptions expected during this period.
Author's note: Essential maintenance has temporarily taken EA FC 26 servers offline, impacting gameplay across several recent EA Sports titles but ensuring improved stability once completed.
