Jetstar is expanding its Adelaide services by reinstating flights to Melbourne Avalon, bringing back the route with special one-way fares starting at $29. The airline confirmed that operations will resume on 26 March 2026, giving travelers from South Australia easy and affordable access to Victoria.
The low-cost carrier will operate up to seven round trips per week, adding around 109,000 low-fare seats annually and reconnecting Adelaide with destinations such as the Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula, and Geelong. The flights will be served by Jetstar’s Airbus A320 aircraft.
To mark the relaunch, Jetstar introduced a limited-time sale beginning today at 11:30 a.m. (ACDT). These promotional fares echo the airline’s original launch prices from over twenty years ago.
“These new flights to Melbourne Avalon Airport provide South Australians with greater opportunities to take advantage of our low fares and are part of a significant increase in flights in and out of Adelaide this year,” said Jetstar CEO Stephanie Tully. “It’s now easier and more affordable than ever to access Victoria’s popular Surf Coast, Bellarine Peninsula wine region, Geelong and Melbourne.”
