Weapons: Combat Robots

Evolution of Combat Robots

In the last twenty years, there has been tremendous evolution of small unmanned ground-based robots.

The first concept was RoBattle, a seven-ton wheeled modular drone transport vehicle, that can carry three tons of cargo, a great Israeli concept that never entered service.

One of the first robots to enter service was the PackBot 510, which began serving in 2002.

Other areas of development include Infantry, Armor, Artillery, Support, Paramilitary, Reserves, Warplanes, Air Weapons, Air Defense, Surface Forces, Submarines, Naval Air, Marines, Counter-Terrorism, Special Operations, Information Warfare, Peacekeeping, Morale, Leadership, Intelligence, and Electronic Weapons.
