Belize Participates in the 20th ILO American Regional Meeting
The Government of Belize attended the 20th American Regional Meeting of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Punta Cana from October 1-3, 2025.
The meeting's theme was
Advancing Decent Work, Social Justice, and Inclusive Development. Belize's delegation was led by Hon. Florencio Marin Jr., Minister of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour, and Local Government.
The delegation included Mr. Valentino Shal, Chief Executive Officer, and Ms. Rissela Dominguez-Patt, Labour Commissioner. Employers were represented by Ms. Kim Aikman, CEO of the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and workers by Ms. Ella Waight, President of the National Trade Union Congress of Belize (NTUCB).
