Suspect Arrested for Threatening to Bomb Hospital and Shoot Staff
A man is in custody after being accused of making threats to a hospital in Chickasha.
On October 19, 2025, at around 2:20 p.m., Grady County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the Grady Memorial Hospital regarding a call made to the Emergency Department.
The caller
threatened to blow up the hospital and shoot the medical staff, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies started an investigation and found the threat to be credible, identifying and locating the suspect, Cody Simmons, at his home.
Simmons was booked into the Grady County Jail with a bond set at $7,500 for felony charges of
- harassing and threatening electronic communication
- making a telephone bomb threat
