Western Kentucky University's soccer team secured the 2025 CUSA Regular Season Co-Championship with a 1-0 victory over Jacksonville State, earning the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament.
The team controlled the early play, with Maddie Davis making an early save and Camryn Davis coming close to scoring. Georgia Liapis broke through in the 40th minute, giving WKU a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, despite rain, WKU maintained control. Maddie Davis made a key save late in the game to preserve the shutout, marking her fifth clean sheet of the season.
I am so proud of this team. The commitment of our players shows their passion and character after a tough 2024 season.
Maddie Davis' performance also earned her the top save percentage (.831) and lowest goals-against average (0.800) in CUSA.
