The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) will begin an indefinite strike on Friday, October 31, due to unmet demands.
The decision was made after a 30-day ultimatum issued to the Federal Government expired.
The resolution was reached after a five-hour extraordinary National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja.
The council unanimously directed the National Officers Committee (NOC) to proceed with the industrial action, citing government inaction on long-standing issues affecting resident doctors nationwide, according to NARD President, Dr. Mohammad Usman Suleiman.
