Avatar: The Last Airbender Comes to Life with On-Stage Orchestra

The animated TV series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" celebrates its 20th anniversary with a two-hour live orchestral performance at Popejoy Hall.

The show features a live orchestra performing the music of Emmy Award-winning composer Jeremy Zuckerman, in sync with highlights and favorite moments from all three seasons projected on a full-sized cinema screen.

Heidi Joosten, the orchestra's associate conductor and Jeff Award-winning music director, brings her experience in musical theater and live-to-picture events, including the "Spider-Man into the Spider-verse" tour.

The performance will take place on Sunday, Nov. 2, in Albuquerque.
