Komatsu Shuts Down Elliot Lake Facility
Komatsu has permanently closed its facility in Elliot Lake, moving local operations to Sudbury, affecting 45 employees as of October 30.
Komatsu is aligning and strengthening its underground hard rock business by centralizing manufacturing and service operations at its Sudbury, Ontario facilities.
Mason Raube, manager of public relations, stated that some employees will remain employed with Komatsu, while others will be impacted by the closure.
