Police Inspector Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for Murder
A high court in Kumasi has sentenced Inspector Ahmed Twumasi, also known as "Tycoon," to life imprisonment for the murder of his 26-year-old girlfriend, Victoria Dapaah, also known as Maa Adwoa.
The court found Inspector Twumasi guilty by a 5-2 jury verdict on Friday, October 24, 2025, for fatally shooting Maa Adwoa multiple times in the abdomen and chest on April 20, 2023, at Adum, near the Aseda House, after a misunderstanding.
Inspector Twumasi, a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit (SWAT) at the time of the incident, will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
